Announcing Changes at Anderson Green Events!

To say I have neglected this blog could be the largest understatement of 2011.  It has been some year and its only September!  I realized early on this year that I was running out of blogging steam and needed a writing break.  At this point, we are re-working our blogging calendar and will be back to more consistent and regular posting after October 1st.  So please, dear reader, come back and enjoy what we’ve got in store for you!

If you’ve been around twitter, you probably may know that my husband and I will be having our first child in December, a little girl!  To say we are excited doesn’t even begin to describe how we are feeling.  I am also excited to say that Michelle and her husband welcomed a son in August to their family so its definitely babies in the water in New York City!

More formally, things are a-changing at Anderson Green Events ~ As of today, I am officially stepping out of the wedding planning spotlight and Michelle is now our Lead Planner.  I have had an amazing time working with our brides and grooms over the past years but I have decided that I need to pursue some other passions of mine.  With Michelle taking over as head awesome planner, I will be working on the business side of running a wedding planning business, so brides, you are still getting the personal attention we are known for and the expertise of two talented wedding planners, I just won’t be working with my own clients.  We would love to hear from you if you are getting married in the New York area, so please contact us!

I wish you all the very best for the rest of 2011!

~Lisa

Happy Birthday Mr. G!

Today Mr. G and I are celebrating his big birthday!  I am so excited to share this special day with my husband and to welcome him to Club 30!

Featured on Style Me Pretty!

I knew that one of weddings was being offered to Style Me Pretty, courtesy of the seriously talented Karen Wise who photographed Patty & Joe’s gorgeous Montauk wedding.  What I didn’t know is when the post would go live.  I was feeling pretty blah yesterday and then I saw that Patty & Joe were up on SMP ~ changed my mood right away!  Head on over to check it!

Now That It’s Officially Spring …

Apparently there’s snow in the NYC forecast this week, but I am overlooking that since yesterday marked the official start of Spring!  In honor of Spring, we went to the Union Square Farmer’s Market this week and I was thrilled to see beautiful flowers available:
